What’s new

What has arrived in ÉCRIN homes, month after month. Each new feature arrives automatically, through updates, in every home at once.

October 2026

  1. ÉCRIN now speaks English

The site is now in English too, with FR | EN at the top of every page, and a page for holiday rentals and one for the Apple TV.

    People and their permissions
  2. Your guests, codes included

Add a guest with their dates: their door code on the Nuki lock and their personal Wi-Fi code are created automatically, sent by message in one tap and deactivate themselves when they leave. You are notified when they arrive.

    People and their permissions
  3. Alexa, one home at a time

Do you have several homes? When you link Alexa, you choose the home it controls: one per Amazon account, without mixing up the devices of the villa and the flat.

    The assistant and voice
  4. ECRIN HOME talks to Alexa

The ECRIN HOME skill is available in the Alexa app: lighting, shutters, air conditioning and your scenes by voice, on your Echo speakers, with the Assistant option. These requests do not count towards the 20 voice commands a day.

  5. ECRIN HOME is on the App Store

The ECRIN HOME app is available on the App Store, for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV.

  6. The front door battery warns you

When your lock’s battery drops below 30%, your phone tells you and the Home screen shows it in orange; below 15%, everything turns red. Reminders continue until it is recharged, and everything then clears itself.

  7. The TV, the turntable or music

Choose what a Sonos speaker plays: music, the TV sound or the turntable. The living-room turntable can also be heard in other rooms, and a TV that is switched on shows up automatically.

    Comfort
  8. The front door as a widget

Your front door unlocks and locks from an iPhone widget, the Apple Watch or Siri, and the watch tells you what the door has done.

    Screens around the home
  9. The TV seen when it is on, every device recognised

The Écrin knows whether the TV is on, even when it was switched on with its own remote, and recognises each device on the network by its hardware address: never a command sent to the wrong device.

    Comfort
  10. Detections kept, up to 100 GB

Each detection keeps all its photos and its short clip. When space runs short, the oldest is deleted first.

    Security
  11. The alert opens the clip

    Security
  12. Playback from the recorder

The Playback card goes as far back as the site’s Dahua recorder keeps the footage.

Before 10 September 2026

Before 10 September 2026, ÉCRIN laid its foundations. In July: rooms in photos and the KNX bus in real time, energy, water and gas as curves, live cameras, the video intercom, Enphase inverters, the home’s first rules, remote access through an encrypted tunnel and automatic updates. In August and early September: the site alarm inside the Écrin, Nuki locks, the wall screen, the scene editor, and the rule that will never change: a detection always comes from the camera itself.
