Terms of use
The rules of the ÉCRIN service: the ECRIN HOME app, the Mon Écrin area and the ‘ECRIN HOME’ skill for Amazon Alexa. In force since 17 October 2026. This translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.
Who publishes the service
The ÉCRIN service is published by LG ÉLECTRICITÉ, a SASU with a share capital of €1,000, 204 route du Plan de la Tour, 83120 Sainte-Maxime, France, RCS Fréjus 752 650 309. ÉCRIN and ÉCRIN HOME are trademarks operated by LG ÉLECTRICITÉ (see the legal notice). By using the service, you accept these terms.
What the service covers
ÉCRIN is a home supervision system: a device, the Écrin, installed and set up in your home by a professional, which controls the home’s equipment (lighting, shutters, heating, air conditioning, scenes and, depending on the installation, security, energy, multimedia). The service includes:
- the ECRIN HOME app (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV);
- the Mon Écrin area (my.ecrin-home.com);
- remote access to your Écrin, accounts and notifications, via our servers;
- the ‘ECRIN HOME’ skill for Amazon Alexa.
Installation, equipment and their warranty are the responsibility of your installer, under the contract you have entered into with them.
Your account
Your ÉCRIN account is personal. Keep your password to yourself: anything done with your account is deemed to have been done by you. If you think it has been used by someone else, change your password and let us know. The owner of the home decides who has access to it and with what permissions; an invited person acts only within the permissions they have been given, and the owner can withdraw them at any time.
Options
Some features are paid options: annual options, specific to a home (for example the Assistant, which includes voice control and Amazon Alexa, or Cars), and modules installed by your installer. Their price and duration are indicated to you before you subscribe, by your installer or in Mon Écrin. The ECRIN HOME app sells nothing. A feature linked to an option ceases when the option ends.
The ‘ECRIN HOME’ skill for Alexa
The skill is free. It requires an installed Écrin, an ÉCRIN account and the Assistant option active on the home. Each person links their own account, in the Amazon Alexa app: Alexa never does more than the person’s access allows. For security reasons, the gate, the locks, the alarm, the cameras and cooking appliances are never offered to Alexa. Your voice is processed by Amazon, under its own responsibility; what we receive and keep is described on the privacy page. Disabling the skill in the Alexa app ends the link.
Fair use
The service is for controlling your home, or the homes to which you have been given access. It is prohibited to attempt to access a home or an account that is not yours, to circumvent the service’s protections, to disrupt our servers, or to copy, disassemble or resell the software. We may suspend an account that breaches these rules, after notifying you, except in a security emergency.
Availability and liability
Home automation depends on the electrical installation, the equipment, the home network, the Internet and third-party services (Amazon, Apple…). We do what is necessary for the service to be available and secure, without being able to promise that it will never be interrupted: maintenance, updates, failure of a network or of equipment. ÉCRIN replaces neither a remote monitoring service nor the emergency services: in an emergency, call 112. Our liability is limited to the direct damage we may have caused; nothing in these terms reduces the rights that the law guarantees you, in particular as a consumer.
Your data
What the service knows about you and your home, what leaves the Écrin and how long we keep it: everything is on the privacy page.
Duration, termination, account deletion
These terms apply for as long as you have an account. You can delete your account at any time, from the app (what is erased, what remains), and disable the Alexa skill whenever you wish. An annual option ends in accordance with the conditions indicated when you subscribed to it.
If these terms change
We may change them as the service evolves. A significant change is announced to you, by email or in the app, before it applies. The version in force is always the one on this page.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a difficulty, write to us first: we will seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
